Dr. Jody Bradham has been in the business of helping people change for the past eighteen years. His approach to client service delivery has evolved based on a combination academic training and “real-world” experience. He earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from Clemson University and earned a Master of Arts degree in psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. Dr. Bradham then achieved the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree from Spalding University. This is an APA accredited program at a private university located in Louisville, Kentucky. Following completion of his formal education, Dr. Bradham relocated to Charleston, South Carolina where he completed his post-doctoral training at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. He then accepted the position as the Staff Psychologist at Naval Hospital Charleston where he provided services to members of our Armed Forces. In the fall of 2006, Dr. Bradham moved back to his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Beginning in his doctorate training, Dr. Bradham has maintained a private practice in addition to his academic pursuits and his full-time employment. That private practice was on a part-time basis until relocating to Atlanta. He currently maintains a full-time private practice located in the Sandy Springs area.
In addition to his training as a clinician providing general mental health services, Dr. Bradham has extensive experiences with performance psychology. Performance Psychology is simply the application of psychological skills and principles for the sake of increasing performance and maximizing potential. Executive coaching, sport psychology, leadership training and development are just some examples of this. With regards to his corporate experiences, Dr. Bradham has assisted both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. He has helped organizations define their strategic plans for the future, improve organizational efficiency, and increase the health of both employees and the general corporate culture. In addition, Dr. Bradham has helped companies better understand employee turnover, improve team dynamics, facilitate group cohesion, and increase employee productivity. On an individual basis, Dr. Bradham enjoys working with business leaders to better define their leadership strengths such that leaders can demonstrate a more effective leadership presence in business and in life. Because of his belief in people’s strengths and abilities, he takes an active stance in helping clients maximize their strengths while promote behavioral change when needed to mitigate areas in need of further development. Those clients who are able to follow through with insight-based action have historically seen the best outcomes of their efforts and the best return on their investments from working with Dr. Bradham. He works collaboratively, but with emphasis on action; be that active efforts to understand or active efforts to implement.
Dr. Bradham has developed an expertise at consulting with supervisors and commanders regarding counterproductive workplace behaviors, employee health and wellness, and personnel risk assessments. He is certified by internationally renowned industrial/organizational psychologists to provide scientifically valid and reliable assessments to assist with employee selection, employee turnover, personnel performance, and managerial/executive development.
Dr. Bradham is licensed as a psychologist in both Georgia and South Carolina and is credentialed by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
